Fundashon Abram Edgardo Salas

Our Mission

The Fundashon Abram Edgardo Salas exists to support individuals and organizations that make a meaningful difference in their communities.

We aim to identify, guide, and support financially programs to benefit the needy and less fortunate members of society — programs focused on supporting the health and wellbeing, safety, and security of children; and on combatting poverty, homelessness, drug addiction, illiteracy, hunger, child abuse, and alcohol abuse. In addition we aim to work with the the Jewish community of Curaçao, with a focus on sustainability of the communities, preservation of history and culture, buildings, and artifacts.

What We Look For

We value partner organizations which are relatively small, hands-on, and doing work on the ground themselves. We look at competence, professionalism, expertise, transparency, and high ethical standards. View our grants to see examples of the work we support.

Our Grants

We have two kinds of grants:

  1. Pilot grants of XCG 2,500 to XCG 10,000 for recipients we are getting to know. We do a basic amount of due diligence, with almost no paperwork or reporting requested. These are organizations with exciting prospects and work that matches our goals.
  2. Primary grants of XCG 10,000 up to XCG 100,000 for recipients we have gotten to know and are really comfortable with. For those we request a "Letter of Interest" to begin the process, followed by our own due diligence, reference checking, and follow up.
